Pangere Journeys (formerly Paisadventure) specializes in private, 100% customized journeys to destinations around the world.
My name is Nick Pangere. Since 2016, I’ve been designing and personally leading small-group and private tours, combining firsthand experience with thoughtful planning to create meaningful travel experiences.
Whether you already know exactly where you want to go or are still deciding, I’ll design an itinerary around your interests, travel style, and budget.
I split my time between Valparaiso, Indiana, and Colombia’s Coffee Region.
Why Travel With Pangere Journeys
I believe travel shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all. Instead of squeezing everyone into the same itinerary, I design each trip around your interests, travel style, and budget. Whether you’re looking for history, food, nature, culture, or a little bit of everything, I’ll help you experience your destination in a way that’s uniquely yours.
- Travel on Your Schedule
Unlike traditional group tours that depart on fixed dates, you choose when you’d like to travel. Whether you’re planning around school breaks, vacation time, or a special occasion, as long as I’m available, we’ll make it happen.
From time to time, I also offer tours with fixed departure dates. These departures remain private—the first traveler or group to book reserves the tour exclusively for themselves, on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here to see what’s currently on offer. - Small Groups, Big Experiences
I keep my tours small, with a maximum of eight travelers in Colombia and up to six in other destinations. Instead of riding around on a coach with dozens of strangers, you’ll enjoy a more relaxed pace, greater flexibility, and a more personal experience.
Smaller groups also mean less time waiting to board a bus, check into hotels, or gather everyone together after meals or shopping stops. You’re not skipping anything. You’re simply not spending your trip waiting on everyone else. That time comes back to you. We move faster between places—but slower within them. - You’ll Travel With Me
I’m not just the owner of Pangere Journeys—I’m also your tour leader. From the day we meet until it’s time to say goodbye, you’ll have the same person by your side. You won’t be handed off to a different guide partway through your trip. - Travel the Right Way
I choose the best way to travel for each destination, whether that means private vehicles, scenic trains, ferries, comfortable intercity buses, or using public transportation to experience a city like the locals do.
In many destinations, I’m the one behind the wheel, giving us the flexibility to stop for scenic overlooks, local cafés, or unexpected photo opportunities along the way. The goal isn’t simply to get from one place to another—it’s to enjoy the journey as much as the destination. - Flexibility
Because every tour is private, we aren’t locked into a rigid schedule. If you want to spend an extra hour exploring a charming village, stop for coffee with a view, or skip an attraction that doesn’t interest you, we can easily adjust our plans. - Accommodations with Local Character
You choose the level of comfort that best fits your budget, and whenever possible, I’ll select accommodations that reflect the character of the destination. Depending on where we’re traveling, that might mean a family-run B&B, a restored historic hotel, a boutique property, or another unique place to stay. I want your accommodations to be part of the experience—not just a place to sleep. - Great Food Without the Restrictions
Food is one of my favorite parts of traveling, and I want it to be one of yours too. I’ll recommend some of my favorite restaurants, from well-known local institutions to hidden neighborhood gems. When meals are included, you’re not limited to just a few preset menu options—I’d rather give you the freedom to order what you want. - Firsthand Knowledge
I’ve traveled extensively throughout many of the destinations I offer, and for others I work with trusted local guides who know them inside and out. Whether I’m sharing my own recommendations or working alongside local experts, I’m committed to making sure you have an unforgettable experience. - Exceptional Value
I work hard to keep my private tours affordable. Many people assume private travel is out of their budget, but that’s not always the case.
With just two people, private travel naturally costs more because the cost of transportation, local guides, and other fixed expenses is shared by fewer travelers. In return, you’ll enjoy a more personalized experience, greater flexibility, and thoughtfully included experiences.
For groups of four or more, my prices are often comparable to—or even lower than—those of many large-group tours. - Meaningful Experiences, Not Optional Extras
Many tour operators keep their advertised prices lower by making key experiences optional, leaving travelers to spend hundreds of extra dollars if they want to experience the destination’s highlights.
I believe the experiences that define a destination should be part of the journey—not optional add-ons. That’s why I include the places and activities that help you truly experience each destination, without the pressure of paying extra once your trip is underway. - Transparent Pricing
I believe you should know the true cost of your trip before you book. Aside from international airfare, meals, personal travel insurance, personal expenses, and any items specifically noted in the itinerary, there are no surprise excursion fees or hidden costs.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to help you truly experience a destination, not just visit it.

How We’ll Plan Your Journey
Every trip is built from scratch around you. Here’s how we’ll bring your journey to life:
- Tell Me About Your Trip
To get started, I’ll ask about your travel style (relaxed, balanced, or fast-paced), your interests (history, culture, food, nature, and more), and the type of accommodations you prefer (luxury, comfortable, or simple). - I’ll Build Your Itinerary
Once you’ve decided how many days you’d like to travel and your approximate dates, I’ll create a customized itinerary for you. Every itinerary is designed to flow naturally, making the most of your time without feeling rushed. If you’d like to make any changes, I’ll work with you until you feel the itinerary is just right. - I’ll Send You a Quote
Once you’ve approved the itinerary, I’ll price it out and send you a detailed proposal. It will include a per-person price, what’s included and what’s not, and important information about the locations you’ve chosen. - Leave the Planning to Me
To secure the tour, you’ll send a deposit and book your flights. I’ll take care of the hotels, transportation, activities, reservations, timing, and all the behind-the-scenes logistics, so all you have to do is enjoy the journey. - See You at the Airport!
Now the fun begins!

Frequently Asked Questions
- Do you only offer private tours?
Yes. I specialize in private tours for couples, families, and small groups. Keeping my groups small allows me to provide a more personal experience, greater flexibility, and the attention to detail that simply isn’t possible on a large coach tour. - Will I be traveling with other people?
No. Every tour is completely private and will only include the travelers in your booking. You’ll enjoy a personalized itinerary, often using private transportation, and the flexibility to travel at your own pace without being combined with other travelers. - Can you customize the itinerary?
Absolutely. Every itinerary I create is built from scratch around your interests, travel style, schedule, and budget. Whether you already know exactly what you want to do or would like suggestions, I’ll work with you to create a trip that’s uniquely yours. - Can I make changes after booking?
It depends. Because every journey is customized, some changes may be possible before your trip. What’s possible depends on what has already been booked, as flights, hotels, ferries, and other services may have change restrictions or cancellation policies. If changes are possible, I’ll do my best to accommodate your request and discuss any additional costs before making them. - Who will I be working with?
You’ll work directly with me throughout the entire planning process. From designing your itinerary to answering questions before and during your trip, I’ll also be your tour leader, so you’ll always have the same point of contact from planning until your journey ends. - Are your tours suitable for all ages?
Absolutely. Whether you’re 8 or 88, I’ll design your journey around your group’s interests, pace, and comfort level. Over the years, I’ve planned and led trips for families with young children, families with teenagers, couples, groups of friends, and senior travelers. Whether you’re looking for a more active adventure, a slower-paced cultural experience, or something in between, I’ll create a journey that’s right for you. - What’s included in the tour price?
Every itinerary is customized, so your proposal will clearly list exactly what’s included, such as accommodations, private transportation, domestic flights or ferries (when applicable), guided sightseeing, entrance fees, and selected meals. - Are international flights included?
International airfare is not included unless specifically stated in your itinerary. This gives you the flexibility to choose the flights, airline, and schedule that work best for you. I can also recommend and book the flights that best fit your itinerary at no additional charge beyond the cost of the airfare. - Do you arrange airport transfers?
Yes. Airport transfers are always included. I’ll personally meet you at the airport when you arrive and make sure you get comfortably to your accommodations. At the end of your journey, I’ll also ensure you get back to the airport for your departure. - How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking at least 3–6 months in advance, especially for travel during peak season. Booking early gives you the best selection of accommodations, flights, and popular attractions, and helps ensure I’m available for the dates you’ve chosen. - Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is required for all travelers. Your policy should include trip cancellation and interruption, medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, and coverage for lost or delayed baggage.
If you don’t already have travel insurance, I’d be happy to recommend a trusted provider to help you find a policy that fits your needs. - Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or mobility needs?
Yes. Please let me know about any dietary requirements, allergies, or mobility concerns when we begin planning your trip, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs whenever possible. - Can you help celebrate a special occasion while traveling?
Absolutely. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, retirement, family reunion, or another milestone, I’d be happy to incorporate special touches into your journey whenever possible. - Can you accommodate solo travelers?
Yes. While many of my travelers are couples, families, or groups of friends, solo travelers are always welcome. I’ll design an itinerary around your interests and travel style, just as I do for every private journey. Please note that traveling solo generally results in a higher per-person cost because transportation, accommodations, and other fixed expenses aren’t shared with other travelers. - What are your payment terms?
A 40% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your tour. Your deposit allows me to begin reserving hotels, domestic flights, transportation, and other services that require advance booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your trip, with the due date specified in your tour agreement. - What payment methods do you accept?
I accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, as well as Zelle, wire transfers, and personal checks. - What happens if I need to cancel?
If you cancel more than 30 days before departure, any payments beyond your non-refundable deposit will be fully refunded. Within 30 days of departure, those payments will be issued as a travel credit that can be applied toward a future Pangere Journeys tour.
